The 2024 Show Me 200 Dual Sport and Show-Me 500 Adventure Ride

When: May 18 and 19, 2024

Location: VTRA Riding Area, Bixby, MO

When is the event and how do I register?

The 2024 Show Me 200 and 500 are co-hosted on May 18th and 19th this year. A rain or shine event!  Be ready with a full tank of gas both mornings.

Registration for both events is closed.

What is included?

Riders of both events receive a T shirt, Saturday night dinner, and are included in the attendance prize drawing. The riders of the 200 will get lunch on the trail Saturday and Sunday.

Can I camp?

Yes, you are more than welcome to camp at our facility on Friday and Saturday nights.  There are also hotels in nearby towns such as Viburnum (the closest) and Salem.  You must reserve any hotel rooms on your own (Viburnum Inn 573-244-5600). There are also a few AIR BNB rentals in the area available now too. We have bathrooms, a shower, and a dump station.  We have a campground located in the woods for tents and smaller RV’s.  Larger RV’s and trailers can camp on the main parking lot located across from the bathrooms and shelter area.

What can I expect?

For the 200, the dual sport is a mix of single-track, gravel, light blacktop, and two-track trail.  The course was new in 2023 and remains unchanged in 2024. We will assign individuals group leaders.  Your leader will guide you through the trails over the weekend.  As this is run on private land at times, please NO GPS, and no riding of these trails in the future.  This is not a race, so we can keep you and your friends together in one group, provide a reduced course group, or if someone would like to run with the “fast guys”, we can get you in with the right group.

For the 500, it’s a mix of gravel road, light jeep trail/forest roads, and light blacktop.  Lots of riding to be had. GPS routes are sent out the week before the event for you to load into your system.   There are no formal group leaders.  However, riders typically group up to have some fun.

What sort of bikes are allowed?

All bikes must be street legal.  The dual sport is conducive to dirtbikes, while the 500 is geared towards the larger adventure bikes.   We see lots of questions about the single cylinder adv bikes, like the 690 KTM’s.  While you can ride that type of bike on the 200 dual-sport trails, it would be a handful!  Some single-track sections are comparable to prime enduro or harescrambles courses.
